Mother Demetrias on September 6, 1906 writes to Cardinal Gibbons arguing that the Mission Helpers are suffering under Mother Joseph and asking him to call an election to install a new Mother Superior.

An October 30, 1906 letter by three young nuns at the New York convent to the Mission Helpers' Spiritual Director, Father Peter Tarro, in support of Mother Joseph in the lead up to the November 5 election.

On November 12, 1906, Mother Demetrias wrote this letter to Mother Benedict, who was governing the Mission Helpers in Guam, informing her of the events that had recently transpired.
